Executive Summary
YsUp, Inc. is a Long Island, NY-based and Black-owned Education Technology Company focused on gamification and social networking services for predominantly black schools. We have developed a social network for students that efficiently connects them with their classmates inside and outside the classroom. We have also developed a gamification model to be used in the classroom to increase engagement and collaborative learning.
Our vision statement is “to be the singular video learning resource for K-12 to Postgraduate schools worldwide and the singular model for gamified class instruction in all classrooms in the world.
Our Mission Statement is “to revolutionize education for the good of mankind by making it social, personal, interactive, customized, and entertaining.”
“Distance Learning plus Black students struggling with literacy equals failure”
A strong pain point for black students is literacy. In distance learning, students must read much more than when the reading material is spoon-fed to them in the classroom by the teacher. We want to utilize gamification, social networking, and edutainment to supplement the reading, and instead of making school a challenge, it's now a video game or sport to them.
Our business model has multiple streams of income. The first being the App Store and Google Play Download sales. The second being ad revenue in the virtual bulletin board, dashboard, calendar, and search. Last but not least is the online school powered by original content in edutainment. For a monthly subscription, you can earn college credit by enrolling in our online school, we provide online professors, and online assignments/tests.
